Retrain Our Brain

The West Wing has had a great door on it. It was metal with a keycode lock. So we never had to think if the front door was unlocked or if anyone came over and we hadn't opened the Residence yet; they could get in.  Last year we put in the beuatiful french doors that will be the entryway once things are finished. But, right now you have to squeeze between pallets of rock and the building to use that door. To finish the siding on the West Wing it was time to take the door out.

Bill did all this while I was out doing errands with Mom. He was so excited! The doorway was filled in with scrap lumber laying around. After the siding goes on you will never know what is under it. Trim went up and when it is warmer we can put the siding up.
It was very cold when he did this. The door is on the north side of the building and gets very little winter sun. Glad I wasn't home to help.
This is the door that was taken out. I need to put insulation between the studs on the inside and we can put drywall up.

We have gone to that door to come inside or go outside several times now. Wonder how long before we go to the French Doors? Need to readjust our thinking.
