Swimming Good Time

One project is actually finished. It is the only one finished in this building process. Everything else is having to wait for something else to be finished before it can be finished. Very frustrating.

The deck around the grandkids pool is done. Now that summer is almost over they can swim in safety with deck rails. The steps go at an angle so you step directly onto concrete.
The previous owner had all kinds of white PVC fencing laying around. These were left overs from building the perimeter fencing. So we went to our junk pile and found pieces that work beautifully and ties the pool deck in with the back patio.
We even have a swim up bar. Okay, we use it to store noodles but when we are in the water it is a safe place for drinks and one year olds to sit and dangle their feet with no danger of big brothers knocking them into the water.

Who-o-o-s looking at you? We have an Owl whose head bobs around on the look out for snakes. We have a pistol at the ready loaded with rat shot in case another Water Moccasin comes looking for water again. This is also my lifeguard chair. I don't always want to get in the water but with the girls someone has to be out there.

This is a special step just for Mallory. There wasn't enough room for another full step because of the angle we had to have the steps. Bill knew the distance between the deck and the top step wasn't a little too much for her so he added one just big enough for her cute little feet.
