Being the earth lovers that we are, imagine our gut clenching horror when we saw this. The roofers had taken the insulation they had put under the roof cap and simply threw it away. They took this down and put the correct ice and water shield up and then tossed all this good stuff.
Can't stand the thought of this going into a landfill. Not exposed to light it will take generations for it to break down. Not only that but amount of money that is being thrown away is appalling.
So I went dumpster diving and salvaged all that I could. Anything over 8 inches long will be stored until we find a use for it. We have a lot of rent houses with crawl spaces which means exposed pipes. Maybe our saving ways is why we need such a large area to store our rent house stuff.
