What do we spy? Is it a Spotted Owl, a Spotted Leopard, a Spotted Hyena? No it's a Spotted Roof!
Totally not acceptable.
The garage roof is still leaking. The roofers keep coming out and
looking at it and can't figure out
why it is not waterproof. If they
want their final payment they had better figure it out.
They have caulked every screw and painted along all the ridges. We told them we didn't care what the roof looked like but we meant design wise not aesthetically. They say it is leaking under the ridges, that shouldn't be possible, they fit together very tight, these roofs go up all the time and don't leak. In fact, metal roofs are becoming very fashionable because they are sturdier than composite shingles and most insurance companies lower your rates with metal roofs.
The big boss came back and he climbed on the roof and painted it white.
We have found that the workmen just help themselves to our tools when they are working at the house. We were working on the siding and he comes out and asks if he can use our paint pole; which he has in his hands. We said okay and then when he left we asked each other if one of us had taken it out of the workroom. Neither one of us had. so that means he went into our workroom and rifled through things until he found a paint pole. This is just so weird that people would think this is okay to do.
Not the look we wanted but if it means there are no leaks we will accept this.
You're right. What happened there was totally unacceptable. I wonder what was lacking in the first place, since they weren't able to pinpoint the reason for the leak. While they did eventually fix the problem, it sort of deviated from your plans. I hope this is okay for you, and that there aren't anymore issues with your roof. Good luck with the rest of the construction!
