We have all this metal in the Residence that we don't want in there but do need it on the outside of the garage. We are moving it from inside to the outside. By putting it up on the garage wall it ties the two buildings together so they look like one cohesive unit and gets the metal out of the house. We have cell phone reception problems because of all of the metal. We don't want to put micro cells and boosters through out the house if we don't have to.
Because we are reusing the metal; the Residence is being torn down piece by piece.
Now we can really start envisioning the height of our ceilings with the walls coming down and the existing ceiling being removed. The ceiling panels will probably be going into the garage for its ceiling.
The metal inside was put up correctly. Wherever the ceiling panels joined up to the metal there is this foam that made everything snug. Well, we want to reuse as much of the metal as possible so we had to come up with a way to clean this stuff off the siding.
Turpentine to the rescue. A paper towel soaked in turpentine and a bit
of rubbing and everything is gone. And I do mean a little rubbing, it
came off quite easily. There was a film left on the metal that a squirt of
Windex took care of. Now we have lots of reusable metal. Whatever we
don't end up not using will be going on Craigslist to find a new home.
