The previous owner did lot of things unconventionally. One of his little "what was he thinking" things was a light switch for the garage area. Most switches are put in at around 4 feet. This one was put in at about 9 feet. Needless to say we don't use that switch to turn lights on and off. We have come up with two different scenarios. First is that he ran out of electrical wire and had to stop there or the second possibility is that he realized there was no room on the wall to put the switch and felt that he really needed one there.
By the way; notice the garage door button (the glowing green light) on the side of the door it is at about the 6 foot mark.We certainly don't have to worry about the grandkids playing around with these switches.
