After the boys got the trench dug for the rock footing Bill got busy.

Mason sand was delivered.
















Concrete and mortar delivered.

There is a large hunk of concrete over pour from when the buildings where first put up. It will need to be incorporated in with the new concrete.

 The footing is eight inches deep. We had to decide if we wanted a strip of concrete showing or did we want the rock to go all the way to the grass. Worried about  water absorption so we are leaving a thin strip of concrete that will be almost completely covered with grass.

 Around and round it goes. Before we bought this cement mixer I would have been the one out mixing this by hand with a wheelbarrow and hoe.

Such an easy job Bill gets to enjoy his coffee.

And of course whenever there is concrete work there has to be an autograph party.

He even added nostrils with his happy face.
