Beginning to think this day would never come. All the rent houses are done and we have time to build on our place again. Well, we have one more house to lay a new kitchen floor in but we have to wait for the foundation repair guys to come and do a readjustment first.
We will be building the third bedroom, hallway and laundry room in this phase. Of course, the first thing we have to do is demolition.
This room houses the hot water heater, breaker box and controls for the heat and air, It will be reconfigured to be the bedroom's closet. The door will be moved to the garage so we can come and go without opening the overhead doors.
Out go the walls.
Insulation pulled out to be reused. Condensation wrap to go around water pipes that will need to be run. All the hidden stuff in our walls you never give a thought to once drywall and paint go up.
The previous owner put in the funkiest HVAC system. We cannot use programmable thermostats and the wiring for each thermostat comes into this thing. To move it out of the closet and into the HVAC room upstairs Bill labeled each little wire and we took a multitude of pictures from every angle to put it back together right.
Up he goes! That area will be the HVAC room and will house the hot water heater. Lots of replumbing and additional decking for support has to go in.
No walls to attach this to so Bill made the cutest little stand ever to hold the wiring. Most importantly; all the wires went back in the proper spots and our air works.
